In 1996 Insurepair secured its first contract with Norwich Union Head Office where we were passed insurance claims directly to price/tender for the works.Midsummer 1998, Norwich Union moved their operation to Glasgow and Insurepair began providing a fuller service to Norwich Union. Insurepair now provided reports on the damage to the insurers which included surveyors observations to allow Norwich Union to use the reports as part of their validation process. In December of this year, Ireland, Northern England and Southern Scotland were hit by ‘The Boxing Day Storm’ which brought wind speeds of 93mph to Glasgow causing insurance claims to multiply tenfold.
Insurepair’s ability to adapt quickly to handle the new volume of claims cemented our reputation with Norwich Union and in 1999 Norwich Union began training our building surveyors to become insurance assessors.
